Meet Laura
Laura Levites is a proud Floridian and Lake Worth Beach resident,
where she turned a house into a home and a neighborhood into a
community. Originally from New York, she’s lived across the US and
abroad, always returning to Florida for its promise of affordability
and opportunity - promises now under threat.
All About Me
Laura knows the struggles of District 87 because she lives them. She’s seen her own home insurance skyrocket, her mothers rising HOA fees threaten her ability to stay in her home, and she has personally navigated Floridas broken healthcare system -to the lack of mental health resources. Laura has also endured the daily gridlock of traffic congestion along the Palm Beach Coast where roads are over capacity, damaged by of rising sea levels and flooding which raise insurance premiums contributing to Floridas affordability.
An NYU graduate, Laura’s diverse career - writer, comedian, producer, executive assistant and more - reflect the gig economy realities. Laura believes ONE job should be enough to sustain a life and she’s running to make that a reality.
As a first-time candidate, Laura offers a fresh voice focused on solutions: alleviating traffic congestion through better infrastructure, mitigating environmental damage, and keeping Florida affordable for families, retirees, and young professionals alike. Laura believes as Florida grows, its services must grow with it.
